This gives us unique real-time insight into the problems facing energy consumers in Great Britain. We conduct research and analysis to get a better understanding of these problems and then help solve them by engaging directly with industry, changing government and regulatory policy as well as supporting consumers to navigate the market.

The energy market isn’t working - prices are astronomical and unaffordable for many, 27 energy companies have failed since August causing huge disruption, and major changes are needed to transition to net zero, but may create new risks and unfairnesses.
Government and Ofgem need to get a grip, put in enough support for people to pay their bills, ensure a good consumer experience, and build a market that supports people in the move to net zero.
