About the role
With the cost-of-living soaring, more people than ever are turning to Citizens Advice for support. We’re seeing record demand — and we need passionate, committed people to help meet it.
As a Training Officer, you’ll play a key role in designing, coordinating, and delivering high-quality training for our Service Delivery Team. Working closely with the Training Manager and colleagues across the organisation, you’ll ensure our staff and volunteers are equipped to provide excellent advice to those who need it most.
Your responsibilities will include identifying learning needs, delivering engaging training sessions, and maintaining training records that support personal and professional development. Above all, you’ll help foster a culture where everyone has the knowledge, skills, and confidence to thrive.
We’re looking for someone with:
A ‘can-do’ attitude and a passion for social justice
Experience in training or mentoring staff and volunteers
Strong communication skills and a commitment to learning and development
At Citizens Advice, you’ll join a supportive, inclusive team that values collaboration, integrity, and making a difference. If you’re ready to take on a meaningful role that helps your community, we’d love to hear from you.
The Citizens Advice service values diversity, promotes equality and challenges discrimination. We encourage and welcome applications from people of all backgrounds. We particularly welcome applications from disabled and Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic people, as they are currently underrepresented in our workforce.
To take up this post you must have the right to work in the UK. Please note that Citizens Advice South West Surrey does not hold a sponsor licence and, therefore, cannot issue certificates of sponsorship under the points-based system
