About the role
Citizens Advice Runnymede and Spelthorne (CARS) is looking for a Generalist Caseworker (Outreach) to join our busy, exciting and friendly team.
CARS provides advice on a huge range of issues including housing, debt, benefits and employment. Last year, we helped over 7,300 people with over 20,000 different issues. We are an expanding local charity with 21 staff members working alongside 40 volunteers to provide advice across Runnymede, Spelthorne and nearby boroughs. We are a local charity at the heart of our community entirely funded by grants and donations, and a member of the national Citizens Advice network. We are proud of the high quality service we provide to our clients, empowering people to help themselves and find a way forwards as well as shape a society where people face far fewer problems.
As a Generalist Caseworker, you will provide information and advice over the phone and in-person to clients facing complex life challenges. Initially, the primary focus of the current opening is to support the delivery of our outreach programmes across Surrey.
If you are passionate about helping people, and enjoy meeting clients face to face, we'd love to hear from you.
The role is 37 hours a week on an initial 12-month fixed term contract, with the possibility to extend depending on funding. We are happy to discuss part-time and flexible working arrangements with prospective applicants. The closing date is 17:00 on 31st July 2025. Please email recruitment@randscab.org.uk for further details of the role and the application process. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to an interview held in August 2025.
