About the role
The Role
Join our pan-Cheshire team providing welfare benefits advice and casework to people living with cancer, their families, and carers. You'll help maximise their income by offering expert advice and support to access financial entitlements.
Knowledge and Experience
You should have a strong working knowledge of the UK benefits system, with experience in completing benefit forms in an advice setting and providing clear, welfare benefits advice. An understanding of the challenges faced by those living with long-term illness or disability, along with excellent communication skills and a sound knowledge of equality, diversity and inclusion, is essential.
Skills
You’ll need to stay calm under pressure, prioritise effectively, and work confidently both independently and as part of a team. A proactive approach, good problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage your own wellbeing are also important.
Support and Benefits
We offer flexible working arrangements, 28 days’ annual leave plus bank holidays per year, enhanced sick pay, an Employee Assistance Programme and a supportive work environment with access to coaching, mentoring, and wellbeing initiatives.
Will consider part time/flexible working for right candidate.
We’re Disability Confident
Disability Confident is a government scheme that supports employers to improve how they recruit, retain, and develop disabled people.
